My first Journey Box was more than I'd hoped for. I was intrigued to try it, along with my monthly Writer's Block Box I've been receiving for a few years now.
Though I write, a little, nearly every day, I haven't yet completed my first book, and I didn't really feel like a writer. (I felt the same about running, for years after I started!)
I haven't completely finished working my way through the first box - it's been a month - but I'm getting there, and the most important change is that, almost immediately after beginning, I felt like a writer!
I feel more organized, more confident, and more like I'm getting to where I want to be.
The booklet with what's inside is very helpful. The Story Idea Builder progresses beautifully and naturally. Though, I must note, while it says that completing that workbook will take 2 - 4 hours, I'm finding that it will take many more. So plan accordingly. The story starters are fun and thought provoking, especially when you need a start. The Genre and Theme guide, I've flipped through but have yet to read (will once I finish the Story Idea Builder), but it seems really useful, and I'm excited for it. The sticky notes are perfect, as I love them and they are very helpful for me. I love jotting down a quick idea and sticking it somewhere. The Tree of Life notebook is lovely and will be super for planning further. For the digital download, I don't scan things, so it would be handy to have a link printed, as well, so I could just type that in. However, I had my son do it for me, and I printed the goal setting progress tracker and have found it to be a wonderful guide. And, the Facebook group, which I'd previously joined, is a nice place for support and community.
If you're new to writing - or even if you aren't - I highly recommend the Journey Box. While writing is mostly an individual pursuit, we don't have to do it all alone. I'm so fortunate to have discovered Author be Design, and I suspect you'll feel the same.

The Sprint Box came with a variety of items to help make writing sprints fun. As I love running sprints (and all running), I figured writing sprints would be equally exciting - and they are!
The timer, workbooks, and stickers provide encouragement, support, and creativity. Love it!

I am forever jotting notes about what I accomplished each day with social media, and this notepad makes it much easier, not only to remind myself, but also to keep track of what I've done and what I haven't. Totally worth it!

I have been with Writer's Block Box from the beginning and each month has been fabulous! The box is inspirational, fun, and most importantly -- USEFUL to writers at every stage of their career.
